Support for You and Your Family
Caring for a child with PURA syndrome can often mean focusing on the daily routine and responsibilities, but your own wellbeing matters just as much. Connecting with other PURA families can offer valuable support, shared understanding, and practical advice. By building relationships with those who truly understand your journey, you create a stronger, more supportive foundation for yourself and your family.
For more information about family support, please reach out to one of our parent contacts below.
Alone we are rare, together we are strong. #PURAperfect

A note from our Victorian Parent Contact, Rebecca Nunn
When my son was diagnosed with PURA Syndrome at 14 months, my husband and I were completely overwhelmed. We felt alone and didn’t know where to start or how to process the news.
With the support of the PURA Foundation Australia, you are not alone.
You will find a community of people who understand what you are going through and are here to provide you with whatever you need at any stage of your PURA journey.
We have a PURA parent support group specifically for Australia and New Zealand families. Here we can discuss issues including equipment, education and government funding questions families may have. Please contact me if you would like to join. I would love to hear from you and support you in any way that I can.

PURA Foundation Australia - PURA Clinical Care Network
