PURA Education Day

The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health
Friday 9 October 2026

The Melbourne Marathon Walk event is Saturday 10th October.

Join us for a special morning bringing together PURA families, researchers and clinicians as we share the latest progress in PURA syndrome research and look towards the future.

Hosted by our Head of Research, Professor Michael Hildebrand, the morning will feature updates from our research teams, insights into current projects, and the opportunity to hear directly from the scientists working to better understand PURA syndrome and develop improved treatments.

Families will also hear from members of our community as they share their lived experience, reminding us why research matters and how every discovery has the potential to make a difference.

Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the laboratories and see firsthand where our world leading PURA research is taking place.Whether you are a parent, family member, researcher, clinician or supporter, this is an opportunity to connect, learn and be part of the growing partnership that is driving progress for PURA syndrome.
