Our focus is on advancing research that will help us understand PURA syndrome and move towards the development of targeted treatments.

Team PURA: Together for PURA

One community. One shared goal. What an incredible weekend for Team PURA at the Melbourne Marathon Festival on 10 and 11 October.

Families, friends, researchers and supporters came together to walk, run and wheel, raising awareness of PURA syndrome and supporting research here in Australia.

Over the past three years, community fundraising has helped PURA Foundation Australia establish important research in Australia. The support of Team PURA will help us build on this work, continue supporting research and expand opportunities for scientific discovery through our growing research collaborations.

This weekend was about so much more than fundraising. It was about bringing our community together, strengthening connections and showing what we can achieve when we work towards a shared goal.

Thank you to every participant, family, supporter and donor who helped make this weekend such a success.

When we all work together, anything is possible.

What a weekend -  Team PURA in Sydney

PURA families and friends walked the Sydney Mini Marathon over the weekend, and the energy was incredible.

From start to finish, it was all about community, connection, and funding research for much needed treatments for PURA. The cheers, the smiles, and the shared moments made it truly special.

It reminded us that every step counts and walking together makes it even more meaningful.

Grateful that PURA Foundation Australia could be part of such a powerful day. 💜
