Team PURA – Melbourne Marathon Festival 2025

The PURA Foundation Australia was proud to once again take part in this incredible event. Together our community of families, friends, researchers and supporters were all running, wheeling and walking with purpose.

This year, our amazing Team PURA turned the course into a sea of purple and raised an incredible $15,000 in support of our epilepsy research partnership with The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.

Epilepsy affects many people living with PURA syndrome, yet there is still so much we don’t know. Through this partnership, we’re helping scientists uncover new knowledge and move closer to better treatments.

Together, we didn’t just cross the finish line, we helped fund research that could change lives.

Every step takes us closer to breakthroughs for PURA syndrome
