Saturday 10th October 2026
Whether you’re running the 10km, 5km or 3km, here’s everything you need to know to get to the start line and enjoy Saturday.
π Saturday race schedule
-
7:00am SriLankan Airlines 10km
-
8:30am Dairy Farmers 5km
-
9:15am Chobani 3km
π Where do I meet?
10km runners - Meet at Melbourne Park Oval at 6.30am for the team photo.
3km walk Team PURA - Meet at Melbourne Park Oval at 8.30am for the team photo.
Those walking the 3km (and those who have finished the 10km and made it back around to walk with us) will then all walk down together to the start on Batman Avenue.
All three running events finish inside the MCG, with runners completing a lap of the famous MCG turf before crossing the finish line. Allow plenty of time to get to the event precinct, find your way to the start area and get into your allocated start wave.
The 10km and 5km use wave starts, so your individual start time may depend on the wave you have been allocated. The 3km has a mass start.
Before you leave home, make sure you have:
-
Your race bib
-
Safety pins
-
Your PURA team tee
-
Your phone
-
Water and a hat
-
Your fundraising details if you’re planning to share your PURA fundraising page on the day!
No bib, no run. If you have not received your bib by mail, you can collect it during Race Week from the Race Week Office at the MCG. TEAM PURA bibs were collected on Wed 7th by Mel. They have been given to PURA families to hand out. Please contact the family you know.
If you register for team PURA after Wed 7th October you will need to collect your own bib.
